Rebounding Exercise Tips

Tips Joy - computing, housework, health, gardening. Rebounding / Jumping - Fun and enjoyable exercise

The photo shows a pair of new shoes you may see it in some gym or fitness center. It is called the rebounding shoes, bounce shoes, or jumping shoes.

Jumping/rebounding shoes are low impact rebound sport shoes, providing many great health benefits. It looks like so much fun and enjoyable that you may forget you're exercising.

Jumping/rebounding shoes were originally developed for joggers, to reduce the impact stress on joints. It can reduce impact shocks to your ankles, knees, shins, hips, lower back, and spine.

Jumping/rebounding shoes can also be used for stress reduction and correcting pronation and supination. Therefore, it may be used for rehabilitation after surgery & for prevention of injuries. People who at one point could no longer jog or exercise due to knee surgery and excess weight can jog / exercise again in comfort, with fun without pain.

However, the Jumping/rebounding shoes are new to most fitness experts. People should start slow and be careful how they land with the shoes.

Rebounding has its drawbacks. Some people find it uncomfortable to keep bouncing. And people can misstep on the trampolines, twist ankles or fall. Some people don't want to try the rebounding shoes, either; they look at them and immediately imagine, in vivid detail, how they will fall off the several-inches-high springs.

For example, the animation photo showing here is a jumping/rebounding shoes exercise in front of YMCA in Calgary, Canada. It looks very fun and enjoyable.

Cool Printer Tips - Free Software to Print the File as a PDF Electronic File

Portable Document Format (PDF) is the de facto standard for the secure and reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms around the world.

There are too many electronic stuff needs to be printed out for various reasons. We print documents, emails, word writings, spreadsheets, images, search results, Screen Capture, and others on a daily basis.

It wastes a lot of paper and storage space. Sometimes, it’s not easy to find the paper or the paper is damaged when we need it.

Fortunately, instead of printing everything using papers, we can choose PDF converter (e.g. CutePDF Writer) as the selected printer and print it to a PDF file.

PDF electronic documents have countless advantages over traditional archiving formats (e.g. paper or microfilm). We can access it easily when we need it.

Some advantages of a PDF archive over a TIFF ( Tagged Image File Format - is a file format for storing images) or a paper-based archive are:
  1. Full-Text Search
  2. PDF stores objects (e.g. text, graphics), allowing for an efficient full-text search in an entire archive. TIFF is a raster format and must first be scanned with an OCR (optical character recognition) engine.

  3. File Size
  4. PDF files require only a fraction of the memory space of original or TIFF files, without loss of quality. The smaller file size is especially advantageous by electronic file transfers (FTP, e-mail attachment etc.)

  5. Optimization
  6. PDF/A format can be optimized. The optimization can be focused on images (e.g. scanned checks) or extracting structured data (e.g. voucher information). TIFF treats all file information the same.

  7. Metadata
  8. Metadata like title, author, creation date, modification date, subject, keywords, etc. can be stored in a PDF/A file. PDF/A files can be automatically classified based on the metadata, without requiring human intervention.
CutePDF Writer is the free version of commercial PDF converter software. CutePDF Writer installs itself as a "printer subsystem". This enables virtually any Windows applications to convert to professional quality PDF documents - with just a push of a button!

It is free for commercial and non-commercial use. No watermarks or Popup Web Ads.
The download website can be access here CutePDF Writer Download

It's Time to Harvest Tomatoes

Tips Joy - computing, housework, health, gardening. When You See the Beautiful Color of Autumn, It's Time to Harvest Tomatoes

It’s fun to plant tomato, watch it to grow, and harvest it.

When you harvest it, you can pick the ripest tomatoes, and leave the rest to mature on the plant. Fully-ripened fruit tastes much better than fruit picked early.

Usually it’s time to pick it up when its color turns red / orange for red tomatoes, yellow for yellow tomatoes.

It’s important to remember to pick all the tomatoes from the plant before the first frost. It’s time for a final harvest. If you leave them on the plants and tomatoes are exposed to frost, they will be ruined completely.

When you pick green tomatoes off the plant, remember to leave a short stem (on the vine) for each of them and bring them inside to ripen.
You can sort tomatoes in different color groups and store them in the willow baskets. Tomatoes in each group will ripen at about the same speed.

As for the immature green tomatoes which rarely develop a ripened-tomato flavor, you can use them for cooking.

Have the fun to enjoy watching and eating your own tomatoes. www.topcooltips.com

How to keep your car battery alive all the time?

Tips Joy - computing, housework, health, gardening.

How to keep your car battery alive when you bike commuting, take multi-week trips, keep a couple of cars, or live in very cold weather?

It’s very frustrated to find out your car battery is too weak or dead to start the engine when you need to use the car. It’s always happened after you have not driven it for weeks.

How to prevent car battery dead from not driving for extended periods of time? Here are some cool tips to solve this problem: 1. Drive the car once a week. 2. Connect to a battery maintainer / charger. 3. Disconnect the battery terminal.

Option 1: Drive the car once a week or so

It’s the best way to keep the battery and other car components alive if you or someone can do it. The car is built to run, not to store.

The battery will self-discharge over time, and the computer, security system, blinking light, etc, will continue to draw a small current and drain the battery. It will go dead if you leave the battery connected without driving/charging it.

You need drive it every couple days or once a week, just to keep the battery and other car components (fuel, engine, brake, exhaust pipes, air conditioning) in good shape.

This not only charges the battery, but gets all the fluids moving and lubricating all the engine, fuel and cooling, steering systems. Corrosion on brake rotors (disk brakes) usually gets removed from braking. At minimum, drive the car every couple days or once a week can prevent these issues and keep the car for a long time.

Option 2: Connect to a battery maintainer / charger

If you can’t drive it once a week, the second option is to connect the battery to a battery maintainer / charger. There are plug/clip in, connect them through the lighter connection, or solar types of battery maintainer / charger.

To avoid the battery overcharged, the battery maintainer is better than the trickle charger. A trickle charger supplies a constant charge to the battery and never completely shuts off. A battery maintainer turns itself off when the battery is fully charged it. As the battery continues to sit it will self discharge and when it becomes slightly discharged the maintainer turns back on. It can keep the battery in great shape for many years.

Option 3: Disconnect the battery terminal

If you're not driving the car for months and you can’t do either the first and second options, then disconnect the negative battery cable and tuck it away such that it can't accidentally touch the battery post.

When need to use it, you have to reconnect it, reset the stereo channels and clock, and punch in the correct code for some car security system.   topcooltips.com
